Thunderbird Necklace

As the story goes, “Physt” or Bulter’s cove is located on the South side of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Years ago, it was home for S’Klallam people; this is where our Grandmothers and Grandfathers were raised. The Father’s name was Tom Bulter (English name), and his wife from Hunter Family.

The pendant represents the Thunderbird holding up the location called Piller Point. This is where the Bulter family started their legacy. There were several children born to Tom Bulter
Ty-ish-did, and Mary Hunter, “Anatoquis”. They had several children, but the time came, and they moved their family from Piller Point, Neah Bay, and finished raising their family.
